In 2010, the Alliance for Children and Families civic engagement program will sponsor two Civic Engagement Training Institutes: July 14-16 in Kansas City, Mo., and Sept. 20-22 in Minneapolis.
The institutes will be co-hosted by Alliance members Cornerstones of Care and Family & Children’s Service, which is also a member of United Neighborhood Centers of America (UNCA).
Members of the Alliance and UNCA may register up to two individuals for each institute free-of-charge. Some stipends are available to offset travel costs.
The training institutes are a prime opportunity to learn about incorporating civic engagement strategies into an organizational plan. Attendees will learn from several experts in civic engagement and community involvement.
